Kenya has second best internet speeds in Africa

- Kenya with internet speed of 10.11 Mbps is second in Africa after Madagascar which has 24.87 Mbps

- High speed internet in Madagascar is attributed to the EASSy underwater cables

- A National Optic Fibre Backbone Infrastructures (NOFBI) is being laid countrywide to connect all counties to fast internet

You may not be a fan of the current internet speeds in the country owing to what you may label as sluggish speeds but to your dismay, a recent report has listed Kenya among the countries with the fastest internet connections in the world.

The report dubbed Worldwide Broadband Speed League 2018, ranks Kenya as 51st Country in the world with the fastest web connection speeds and second in Africa after Madagascar.

Globally, Singapore emerged as the country with the fastest internet with its connection and download speeds capped at 55.13 Mbps.

Madagascar which floored all African countries had its speeds at 24.87 Mbps.
